Property Market Update
InfoTrack’s Q4 2023 Property Market Update was recently released, providing valuable insights into the Australian property sector. The update is based on data captured by InfoTrack from 1 October to 31 December 2023, revealing intriguing trends in the industry.
Key findings include:
- Houses account for 45% of total market purchases, making them the most popular property type for the state.
- The Greater-Western Sydney area continues to feature in the Top 10 suburbs for first home buyers. The top three postcodes are 2145, 2170, and 2141.
- Houses maintained their status as the most purchased property type with 57% market share.
- Surfers Paradise continued its two-year streak as the leading suburb for residential unit sales. Kirwan in Townsville claimed the leading suburb for house sales.
- Melbourne has remained consistent for the fourth consecutive quarter, securing first place in the Top 10 list of suburbs for property sales. Tarneit and Pakenham were the second and third most popular suburbs.
